That is interesting as I was about to build a dedicated variable PSU for the QCX I am building using an old Dell laptop 19v SM PSU.
I was going to use one of those cheap DC - DC converters with an LED segment display to get the voltage down the range required.
I think i'll get the scope out and have a look at the noise on the Dell PSU rails before I start.
