One could use low watt iron like 10w. That is what i do,to prevent switch body loosening of the pins in those front panel screw fixing type .

The front panel normally open push button switches will melt and fail if you apply to much heat. Replacements are available at Amazon and eBay for cheap.
When soldering the connections I grabbed the connection with an alligator clip to heat sink it near the switch. This protects it from heat damage and all is fixed.
