Not sure where your mic and speaker levels controls are - I just take the video from the HDMI port on the Pi.
If you have two windows open and set the volume slider in the decode window you should decode anything heard.
The only other thought is that as I've had my setup running for some months I may be using an earlier version of Debian (Jessie ?) and perhaps Stretch is the problem?

Hello Mike,
I've been using the Marxy software and a Pi 3 for a while - works well.
My settings are:
Input???? sysdefaultCARD=Device
Output?? sysDefaultCARD= ALSA
Both Mono,? and I guess the Output parameter isn't relevant as I'm only
using it for Rx.
My audio device is a u-Green USB 'dongle'

Hi Folks and HNY to all.
Rasberry Pi three running WSPR Decode on QCX receiver
I'm following the information from VK1UN and a blog by someone called
Marxy
the link to VK1UN info:-
Everything seems to load and run on RPi3 with
2017-08-16-rasbrian-stretch.img
but I can't identify the soundcard device to use.
With a USB soundcard I get multiple options for input and output sources.
Please can someone help me to identify which one I should use?
I have 14 possible options for the input and 25 options for output and
the
error messages don't help.
Thanks, Mike G8NXD
