Re: QMX, WSJT-X 2.7.0, Hamlib 4.6.2 DLL - Odd Behavior

Jim-
I had the same problem with my QMX+.? It would receive FT8 signals (in digi mode), but as soon as WSJT-x sent any CAT command (such as transmitting or even changing bands) the decodes stopped and the waterfall was quiet.? If I switched to CW mode, it would decode again.? Along the way I discovered that I could get it to decode in digi mode again simply by entering and exiting the QMX menu.
?
The problem turned out to be a setting in WSJT-x.? In the "Radio" tab, set "Mode" to "None"; mine was set to "Data/Pkt."? Don't let WSJT-x change the radio's mode; set it to digi yourself using the QMX's controls.??
?
After making that change, it's working great- no problems making FT8 contacts or switching between bands.
?
One other point that I've discovered; only power up the QMX AFTER WSJT-x has been started.? Otherwise, the QMX goes into "terminal mode" (or whatever it's called), and it won't communicate with WSJT-x.? But if you power up the QMX while WSJT-x is running, it WSJT-x will connect to the QMX and you won't get those annoying "reconfigure" errors.
