I believe QMX has a tuning mode built in that will reduce output power.

Curious about your manual switched L-match design; I'm trying to build one. Is yours a binary coded multi-coil or a rotary switch multi-tapped type? Film variable capacitor? Do people try to peak the noise before transmit tuning with these?
