Mike,

Good thought on the filter selection though I have already tried all of of the widths, all of them seem to have an unexpected amount of (apparent) reduction in SNR, regardless of the moving the selected frequency up or down farther than the filter width. With the filters turned all the way off, and AGC off, signals sound similar between the digi and CW modes though still not identical, which may be due to different offsets between the windows (need to check documentation on that)

Also a good thought, though I've been using the auto offset setting and everything looks correct as far as offset and center. Again, the poor SNR effect seems to be independent of the position of the signal relative to the CW filters. I can't find a position with any of them where signals of anything but the absolute highest starting SNRs don't sound muddy. It's almost like the CW signals is being flattened heavily compared to the noise when the filters are active.

If I can find a consistent signal to listen to I'll try looking at the IQ output next to see if there actually is significant reduction in SNR between digi / no filter and the CW filters.
