One more thought: have you changed from the default 700Hz CW sidetone?
If you did, did you also make sure the CW center and CW offset changed to match, and that you selected a filter that supports the new sidetone?? If not, you may be off-center in the filter, causing attenuation.? Check the operations doc writeup on this, it may be helpful...
