I agree that every ham should be aware of the right band limits for the country he's currently working from. It's more of a convenience feature, especially if the frequency would just jump to the other end of the band range when hitting the limit. But nothing I myself would hardly miss in the end. All of my other gear doesn't have any such limits.

Maybe, a drunk and exhausted operator at the end of a 48h contest might find it handy, though he might better got to sleep in this condition :-D?
