You should be able to get more than that at 12v supply. I rewound the output transformer on mine using the RWTS method described in the online docs and the output power reached 6 watts into a dummy load as measured with a calibrated power meter. Can't remember which band that was on but the minimum output was a sniff under 5 watts.
