Re: #QMX #firmware 1_00_007 #qmx #firmware

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that cross band is
probably not supported. (Yet?)

Regarding this tone issue I mentioned - I managed to play around a little more with the QMX today, and after uploading FW 1_00_009 I did a factory reset just in case, and tried to replicate the scenario I had experienced as reported a few days back :

"I have had an experience twice now swopping between A&B VFO's and sending CW on 20m there is a continuous low tone that appears after sending the first character...."
The issue is still present, but now I have some examples of when it appears:

1) when 40m is selected on VFO A, and 20m on VFO B when I send on 20m I get the low tone appearing after the first character, and persisting until I change band. Changing frequency does not remove the tone. When I select from the presets and add 20m into VFO A and 40m into VFO B this does not occur.
2) when 60m is selected on VFO B and 20m on VFO A when I send on 60m I get the low tone appearing after the first character, and persisting until I change band. When I reverse the selection ie. 60m into VFOA it does not occur.
3) when 30m is on VFO B and 60m on VFO A when I send on 30m its as if the RF gain is turned down and the background noise is lower. When I change band it is back to normal until I send on 30m again. When I reverse the selection this does not occur.

With 60m in either VFO and 40m as the counterpart, this does not occur.
Whenever I use a single frequency none of the tones or gain issues present themselves.
I have tried this with multiple different power supplies and with two different antennas.

Can anyone else replicate this? If not then its an issue with my radio only
