(2228 E. Brown Rd., Mesa, AZ 85213) ? Several people have indicated they will be there with their portable stations.? Whether you have a portable station or not, this is a great learning opportunity.? Come set up your station or come get some ideas to put one together. ? What is RUSS? RUSS is a hands on event.? The idea is to set up a station without the use of grid power.? Simulate a grid down situation and operate on Simplex¡not using the repeaters.? Learning how to operate during a simulation is much better than learning during the actual emergency. ? If you have questions or need a little help with your radio, the RUSS event is the perfect time to get that help. ? Hope to see you there whether for a few minutes or the entire time. ?
