We still need volunteers! - Town of Queen Creek Trunk or Treat, 10-21
The Town of Queen Creek has asked for QCECG communications support services for their very large event - Trunk or Treat 2023. We expect about 15,000 to 20,000 attendees. This is a fast paced event for our volunteers.
The event is on Saturday, October 21st, and runs for the public from 5 PM till 9 PM. Our participation will be for a (8.0) hour shift from 3 PM till 11 PM, with volunteers ARRIVING at 2:30 PM for check in.
This is an opportunity for QCECG members and any licensed local amateur radio operator that is interested in developing/maintaining/enhancing their EMCOMM communications skills.
We need at least 10-15 more volunteers to cover the expected assignments. There will be some walking involved since we are shadowing event organizers. We also have a couple of fixed locations, i.e. none-to-limited walking assignments. All you will need is your HT, spare battery, headset or speaker/mike.
There will be a follow-up email with more details for volunteers but, for now, we need you to consider the date, check your availability, and support our request.
Please reply directly to Joe, N2QOJ, at jsammartino (at) gmail (dot) com if you can support this event. PLEASE REPLY WITH RESPONSE AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE.
Thank you in advance for your service and participation.
