The first phase of CFAN in the Pacific ran from April 2021 to March 2024 and was funded by the Government of Canada. The second phase of CFAN in the Pacific is funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). CFAN aims to support developing countries in securing and structuring finance for priority climate projects by cultivating a network of highly trained, embedded climate finance advisors. In the Pacific, GGGI implements CFAN by embedding Climate Finance Advisors into 8 PICs: Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. For more information, please see www.dt-global.com The Role Reporting to the HR & Recruitment Coordinator, the HR Officer will provide support on a range of HR services including but not limited to recruitment, contract management and onboarding, employees* benefits, performance management, training & capacity development, visa & work permits for international staff. The position will assist with program-wide recruitment activities for Pacific Australia Skills regional offices, ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of deliverables. This role will form part of a dynamic HR & Recruitment team within Pacific Australia Skills. Roles and Responsibilities ﹞ Coordinate staff induction and onboarding, including scheduling and maintaining the induction check list. ﹞ Support the implementation of Pacific Australia Skills performance management. ﹞ In coordination with the hiring manager, support and coordinate recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews and conducting referee checks of selected candidates. ﹞ Work with the IT Manager and the Office Manager to ensure that workstations, laptops/PCs and access cards are available for new employees upon commencing. ﹞ Manager and update LES Insurance Membership, this includes membership registration and termination, and ensuring excess claims are processed in a timely manner. ﹞ Source and recruit training providers in line with Pacific Australia Skills training plan. ﹞ Be the focal point for HR systems, portals and online training. ﹞ Perform HR administrative work, including certificates letters, updating employee records, employment certificates etc. ﹞ Responsible for all documentation and filing of P&C data both in the system (soft copy) and hard copy (if any) and ensuring tidiness and completeness of those documents. ﹞ Undertake other relevant and reasonable duties as required. About You Selection Criteria Essential Experience and Knowledge ﹞ Tertiary qualifications in human resources or relevant field is desirable. ﹞ At least two to three years professional experience in an HR role, preferably with international development organisations or similar environments. ﹞ Demonstrated skills and practical experience in human resource functions including, but not limited to, recruitment and selection, inductions, workplace health & safety, and administration. ﹞ Ability to multi-task and prioritise competing demands to support HR functions in an efficient manner. ﹞ Demonstrated experience with the use of the computer programs such as MS Office 365 and human resource information management systems. ﹞ Sound interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, and an ability to develop and maintain results-focused stakeholder relationships. ﹞ Demonstrated ability to work sensitively in a complex cross cultural operating environme
