? Background:? The Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea (LUPNG) was established by an Act of Parliament in 2022 (The LUPNG Act 2022) and certified as a Higher Education Institution in March 2022 in compliance with the Higher Education (General Provision) Act 2014 amended 2020. The Lutheran University Head Office is based in Lae, with its Schools and Campuses located in Lae, Madang and Banz. The Lutheran University came into existence by amalgamating three church education institutions that have been operating for over 50 - 60 years, each with well-established reputations in providing quality education to Papua New Guineans since pre-Independence. The three (3) church institutions are the Balob Teachers College and the Martin Luther Seminary in Lae, and the Lutheran School of Nursing in Madang.
