United Nations Development Programme

Our client, the Resident Representative, is seeking applicants for the
following three (3) key positions in the UNDP Fiji Country Office. The
applicants must be a national of one of the following 10 countries:
Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru,
Palau, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Stretching across the Pacific Ocean the UNDP Office located in Fiji
collaborates with the ten country governments, the donor community,
non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and all spheres of society in
promoting people-centred development and building partnerships with
civil society to fight poverty.
UNDP continues to strive towards achieving the Millennium Development
Goals by advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge,
experience and resources to help people build a better life in the
Pacific. This is encouraged through sharing solutions to the challenges
of: Democratic Governance, Poverty Reduction, Information and
Communications Technology, Energy and Environment, HIV/AIDS and Crisis
Prevention and Recovery


Development Services Unit Leader


The Development Services Unit (DSU) Leader will report to the Deputy
Resident Representative and focus on the overall efficient and effective
delivery of programmes in the Pacific. This is a senior role with
significant management and leadership responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Management and leadership of the DSU function including
monitoring of performance
* Development and maintenance of a donor network, promoting UNDP
and enhancing the relationship with the partners
* Resource allocation to ensure efficient utilisation of
resources
* Developing project/programme implement strategies and provide
management reports

Behaviours:

This is a challenging role. The successful applicant will need to be an
achiever, able to take a holistic view and achieve the best from a large
and diverse team.

Qualifications:

Degree with a higher degree or second degree preferably including
management qualifications.

Resource Mobilization & Partnership Analyst


The Resource Mobilization and Partnership analyst will report to the DSU
Team Leader, identifying and optimizing the resources available for
projects and programmes in the Pacific.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Create and maintain donor resource database and partnership
profiles
* Identify and assess fund availability and align to project
proposals
* Enhance UNDP CO Suva network of partners and donors
* Establish resource requirement, donor agreement and reporting
requirements

Behaviours:

This role requires a systematic and disciplined approach. The
successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic while being empathetic
to the needs of both the resources and partners.

Finance Team Leader


The Finance Team Leader will report to the Client Services Unit Leader
providing financial services to the UNDP and agencies through an
efficient and customer focused finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Ensure accounting is in accordance with established UNDP and
agencies financial regulations and rules.
* Provide financial reporting to UNDP HQ & CO Suva, Agencies.
Optimise the foreign exchange transaction for the UNDP and Agencies.
* Management and leadership of the finance function
* Review accounting processes and manage the audit program

Behaviours:

This role will suit a person who can be held accountable for the
performance of the function. The successful applicant will need to be a
challenger, detail orientated but decisive in the management of the
function.

Qualifications:

Degree in accounting and preferably a Chartered Accountant. A business
qualification would be a benefit.
