VACANCY
The Forum Secretariat was established in 1972 by the South Pacific Forum to
encourage economic and political cooperation between its member countries*,
and between these states and other countries.
FINANCE SERVICES OFFICER
The Secretariat is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to
work as Finance Services Officer in the Corporate Services Division.
The Finance Services Officer will be accountable to the Director, Corporate
Services Division through the Manager Finance Services for the:
¡¤ Preparation of monthly management reports;
¡¤ Preparation of annual accounts with relevant work papers;
¡¤ Preparation of donors acquittals and advance requests and special reports;
¡¤ Reconciliation of foreign currency and local investments and prepare
associated reports;
¡¤ Maintenance of the Fixed Assets System;
¡¤ Carrying out of other duties from time to time as directed by Manager
Finance Services.
Applicants should have a degree in Accounting and Financial Management or
related fields and membership of a recognised national professional
accounting body. Relevant practical experience is required with at least 5
years experience in the preparation of financial reports to Fiji accounting
standards. Staff supervision experience is vital and good PC based computer
skills covering accounting, word processing and spreadsheet applications
would be advantageous.
The position will be available on a three year contract that is renewable.
Salary will be between F$27,900 to F$34,100 according to skills and
experience. Other benefits such as medical and life insurance are available.
