Pls copy all of us old PSC 31 owners a pdf of your owner's manual. My old paper copy is getting worn. Jay Regarding a good heading source for any of the autopilots substituting a satellite compass source into the network has worked well for me and maybe for you. I have installed a full NEMA 2000 network system and since mine was from B&G (Navico) I used a ZG100 to provide a stable plot for my radar overlays to the chart plot. Provides GPS, course (True or Mag), and heal angle sentences to the network. Heading is now no longer derived from a stabilized magnet source. Now I am even able to swing my helm compass without using visual range lines as called out in the Ritchie Compass users manual. I use my ZG100 heading source as primary on my NEMA 2000 network and my old Raymarine Smart pilot picks it up rather than the old hardwired fluxgate compass that is part of the kit It also picks up my other sensors inputs from any data sources on the 2000 network. I believe the EV 100 has a more advanced fluxgate compass, but still suffers from onboard deviation sources. Therefore, you might check to see if your autopilot can use any heading sentence on their NEMA 2000 network and go with a satellite compass. This thread parallels my experience. 00-with-raymarine-seatalkng-autopilot.21529/ Hank Davis hhdavisj@... 1.714.403.7305 -----Original Message-----

Re: New PSC 31 Group Member and Owner's Manual Request
Good morning, I would also be interested in the manual if possible. I am considering an EV 100 Raymarine wheel motor autopilot and would be interested in hearing anyone’s opinion on how well they work with their 31. Thank you,? New PSC 31 Group Member and Owner's Manual Request
开云体育Good Day, ? I am the soon-to-be owner of a 2004 PSC-31 hull #105, and will be sailing out of Portsmouth, RI. ? I have tried to locate an owner’s manual for the 31 but have not found one to-date (just one for the PSC-34). I’d greatly appreciate receiving a copy if someone has an electronic copy available. I previously sailed a Sabre 36 and am looking forward to new adventures with the PSC-31! ? Many thanks. ? Marc Mittelman m.mittelman@... |

Re: Tuning and Rigging Guide
开云体育Our group is rather on the small side: I funded the first few years, so we had FILES and PHOTO ALBUMS, etc.We lost that when we went back to the FREE program. I have several files you may be interested in: a spreadsheet I used to order my own standing and running rigging - based upon the rigging guide in the owners manual. I will send you both! Daryl? Re: Tuning and Rigging Guide
I’ll check my manual tomorrow and send a copy of running rigging specs if Daryl doesn’t have it readily available as well. Best, Lisle On Sun, Oct 20, 2024 at 9:59?PM Lisle Kingery, PhD via <Lisle.kingery=[email protected]> wrote:

Tuning and Rigging Guide
Hello Daryl and all,
?
I own a small rigging company and have a client who has a PS31.? I was searching for a rigging spec sheet but haven't been able to dig one up.? Mainly, I'm looking for lengths of running rigging so I don't have measure.? I came across this group and saw a file for a rigging and tuning file from March of '22 but whenever I click on the link it takes me to the home page.? Could you please upload the file or email me at wildchildm24@... please. Thanks |

Re: Alternator Upgrade
Hi Daryl, One thing to watch out for is to be sure you have enough room between the side of the new alternator casing and the port side of the engine “box”.? It may not be an issue…but I don’t think there is a ton of spare room in that area.? Steve on Rafiki.? On Wed, Aug 21, 2024 at 1:48?PM Daryl Clark via <dlclark=[email protected]> wrote:

Alternator Upgrade
Planning to install a Balmar 100 amp alternator on my Yanmar 3GM30F . Purchased the serpentine belt/pulley kit and the new alternator already has the right pulley!
?
anyone done this before? Any unforeseen fitting issues?
I will also be upgrading the wire to support the additional current… Daryl |

Re: DISCUSSION GROUP COSTS
I have down graded the group from PREMIUM services to FREE version. Did not get enough interest in group funding: and thus discussion group is just not as active as it could be….
I will keep it going as a free / no cost site. Any file and photo sharing will have to be done externally. Daryl |

Re: DISCUSSION GROUP COSTS
开云体育Yes, I think the best course is to change it to the free version; which eliminates files and photos, but no one seems to be taking advantage anyway.Daryl On Mar 28, 2024, at 14:02, Albert Planten Vanafton via groups.io <Plantenkrell@...> wrote:

Re: DISCUSSION GROUP COSTS
开云体育Hi Daryl, Thanks for your Email. At this point I think there are not enough participants for this group, unlike the Dana 24 group I was a member of when I had a Dana 24. There was endless questions , observations and answers about the Dana.I still would like to meet with you this summer in Silver Bay or the Apostels . DISCUSSION GROUP COSTS
This Discussion Group's current cost is $20.00 a month. I have been funding this myself since starting this site. GROUPS.IO now provides an easy sponsorship method: if you would like to contribute to keeping this site going there is SPONSOR Button on the HOME PAGE of this group. They accept PAYPAL and other forms of sponsorship funding sources. I believe minium amount is $5.00?
