Hi all, My plastic screen covers for the cockpit and deck scupper have broken down. Just need the circular screen insert but have yet to find them on any marine supply site on the internet. Anyone have a recommendation as to where to get them? Thanks

Air Head Composting Toilet
8
The Groco HF installed on Intuition is about due for another rebuild! Not able to load water in from thru hull again. Thinking of ditching the current toilet and plumbing and installing an Airhead Composting toilet over the winter/spring time after haul out. Anyone installed an Air Head or other Composting Toilet on their PSC 31? I have very good reports on the AIRHEAD from others at my marina. If so, where did you install the fan? Possible to vent into cockpit locker? Anyone use the urine diverter to route urine waste to existing holding tank? I think that would make the system work even better. Tuning and Rigging Guide
4
Hello Daryl and all, I own a small rigging company and have a client who has a PS31. I was searching for a rigging spec sheet but haven't been able to dig one up. Mainly, I'm looking for lengths of running rigging so I don't have measure. I came across this group and saw a file for a rigging and tuning file from March of '22 but whenever I click on the link it takes me to the home page. Could you please upload the file or email me at wildchildm24@... please. Thanks

DC BATTERY SWITCH REPLACEMENT
4
Wondering if anyone has replaced their battery switch (1, 2, BOTH, OFF ) Intuition has a PERKO - located outside the head in the quarter berth area ( probably standard wiring for most PSC 31's). The wiring to the switch goes through the wet locker just aft of the head bulkhead. Appears to possibly go behind some teak trim in the head? Trying to separate the engine and house battery banks completely using a Blue Seas battery switch that in the ON mode routes engine battery to engine and house battery to house DC Panel. It also has a combine mode for emergencies. Daryl s/y Intuition - PSC 31 #54

Shore power inlet
2
Just wanted to remind everyone that the shore power inlet needs to be inspected on a regular interval. The stranded wires are subject to corrosion and heat build up. One thing I have become aware of is the need to install FERRULES on the stranded wire before clamping into the shore power receptical. This aids in reducing loosening of the wire in the receptical due to vibration. Daryl s/y Intution - PSC # 31

Interlude will be for sale soon
10
Well, don't even know where to start. We returned to sailing a few years ago after a 25 year hiatus with the purchase of our Pacific Seacraft 31. We had gone aboard a 31 at the Annapolis boat show in 1989 as we were giving up sailing secondary to buying a farm (which makes buying a boat seem less crazy!), career, raising family, and much white water paddling. Something had to go and living almost three hours from our boat it was sailing. We had always dreamed of a 31 and so when we were ready to return to sailing the hunt was on. Interlude was most likely the actual boat we were on at the boat show, as her owner had purchased her at the show the year we first went aboard one. It was meant to be! Fast forward a few years and now the past three years post injury and a significant health event has left her sitting at the dock way too much. A boat like her was meant to be sailed, so though a difficult decision it is time to help her find a new owner who will love her like we have. We anticipate putting her on the market in late March after she is back in the water. In the interim we thought it would be wise to put the information out there in case there are others who are ready to have such a craft. She has been well cared for and I will be glad to outline all the care that has been provided. She is at a marina off of the lower Chesapeake Bay. In our humble and clearly prejudiced opinion, the 31's are the best mix of everything we sought in a boat. She will be missed.

Yanmar Motor Mounts
I had my motor mounts replaced 3 years ago: they failed this spring due to marina service center installing the wrong ones : (They installed FIRMNESS of 100# front and rear). This caused the propeller shaft to swing a wild arc and the shaft seal to leak water profusely with transmission in gear. They made good on their failure, but made for a slow start to the season and bit of tension between myself and the marina service manager. For Intution's diesel: Yanmar 3GM30F : Front mounts have a FIRMNESS RATING of 100 ( Yanmar part # 124772-08341 ) Back mounts have a FIRMNESS RATING of 75 ( Yanmar part # 128270-08341 ) Daryl s/y Intuition - PSC 31 #54

Harken MK IV Unit 1 Furler Install

Greetings, I have purchased a Harken MK IV Unit 1 Furler to replace the 1990 vintage Harken MK 1 Unit 1 furler. Wondering if anyone has already done this and if so, did you need additional hardware beneath the furling drum standard toggle to clear anchor, etc? Daryl Clark s/y Intution - PSC 31 #54

Lazarette hinge mounting screw issues
3
On my 1990 Pacific Seacraft 31, I need to resolve some lazarette hinge mounting screw issues: several screws no longer tighten down properly, due to compression of the nut into the fiberglass lazarette lid ( or possibly some rot in the plywood between layers of fiberglass under the nut , as I can see the crushed fiberglass from the bottom of the lid! ). Anyone have any success with getting the hinge pin out so the two hinge plates separate? Thinking a very long and narrow punch might do the trick! This would enable the lazarette to be easily removed and worked on so these lovely bronze hinges work properly - imperative I do not destroy them! Daryl s/y Intuition - PSC 31 # 43

Engage transmission while sailing
3
Hi All, I have a Yanmar 3YM30 engine with a Kanzaki transmission, and a MaxProp. I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing while sailing. I have been putting the transmission in reverse while sailing to stop the prop from turning. Is this correct? Thanks Stu
