Alex, the person that bought my 928, is chasing a rough idle. Since it has a Sharktuner chip, perhaps that might give a clue. Is there someone int he Portland area that has the Sharktuner app? I suggested he join here, but in the meantime you can respond here and I'll forward any info. Bill

Odd request. Misplaced mine in a couple of moves, so before I dig deep into the recesses of the garage I thought I'd check here to see if someone has some S4 (89) body side mouldings in black. Hey group - I have a recently removed G28/05 manual trans that I pulled out of my 81. It has ill syncros that don't let you shift from 4-3 and 3-2. Shifting up is fine, but the downshifts aren't usable. So it's a core trans taking up increasingly valuable space in the shop. Great for someone that wants to send one away for rebuild. I think core price is about $300, so that takes it away. Located in Tacoma. Jeff Evans

I was driving home today from soccer and spotted a red S4 in my neighborhood that I had never seen before. I stopped in the road to look at it better and saw the home owner cutting his grass. He saw me stop and turned off his mower to hear me ask if it was a 87 or 88. He said 88, and as I had a car rolling up behind me, I told him I had a 85 and I’d stop by one day to chat. A friend tonight said she saw me stop in front of her house…other side…and was yelling at me to ask why I had stopped…but my passenger side window was up and I’m driving a 2000 diesel? Happy holidays all, I'm nearly able to get back to work on the 928 after a few months of home repairs and an unexpected E30 rebuild. I'm planning on installing the G28 trans I got a while back, since my OE 81 manual doesn't seem to like downshifting. I'm wondering about the feasibility of installing the single disc S4 stuff on the 4.5. I'm frustrated with the twin disc parts, and have the SD flywheel/pressure plate/ clutch arm/ bellhousing from the S4. Has anyone verified if this will work? I'd love to have a clutch with no issues when I get it all swapped out. Thanks - Jeff Evans

Interesting one. Likely redone seats (recaro fabric), and basically a bunch of parts inside (and some large bolt on spacers :D ), but doesn't really look that terrible (straight door panels). Outside looks pretty clean overall. They are asking $3,000. Found on Craigslist in Tacoma. Selling a 84 944, and mentions the 928 is for sale too. Pics also show a 911 (996?) in the mix. Prefers talking via phone call to chat about the Porsches :) . Seems to be an enthusiast from how the ad reads. Maybe a good deal for someone to check out.
