Hooked On Driving Shelton Friday & Saturday
Hey Guys & Gals - Dig your stuff wash up the car check the oil, brakes & tires & come on out to the track! Hooked On Driving HOD continues forward in 2025. Sorry I didn’t post about this earlier, but I wasn’t even sure I was gonna go - just getting over a cold. #41 should be running both days! Here’s the latest availability update for our HPDE weekend: ? Friday – Dry Track, Low Traffic: ? A Group Novice (1:1 Coaching): 2 Spots Left ? A Group Solo: 4 Spots Left ? B Group (Intermediate): 60% Full ? C Group (Advanced): 50% Full ? Saturday – Premium Conditions Continue: ? A Group Novice (1:1 Coaching): FULL ? A Group Solo: 4 Spots Left ? B Group (Intermediate): 85% Full ? C Group (Advanced): 30% Full Advanced Drivers – this is your call! Low group numbers = clean laps, less traffic, and more freedom to refine your line. Take advantage of the space and make the most of a dry, fast track. ? Track day is tomorrow – don’t wait. For people that have run Hooked On Driving previously is slightly different. You can still go to hookedondriving.com but then it takes you to motorsportsreg.com to actually sign up. Anybody who’s done anything with the Porsche club should be familiar with Motorsports Reg…… it works most much better than the old HOD website. Let me know if any questions. I think most people know my phone number. I prefer not to put it on this site. If you want coaching, put my name down as a request for your coach if you want me to coach you. 1981 Concours 5-Speed - $50k+ 3
Wow - I have never heard of this Broad Arrow Auction company before - they do a lot of Porsches apparently & expect high prices. https://www.broadarrowauctions.com/vehicles/po25_r016/1981-porsche-928 Broad Arrow Auctions | 1981 Porsche 928 1981 Porsche 928 The Porsche Air|Water Auction 2025 ... Estimate: $50,000 - $60,000 www.broadarrowauctions.com This looks like a totally refurbished car and is really nice, but wow, $50-60k? Don't know who would pay that much to get a "new" 1981 but would love to see it go for that range..... Regards, Keith R. Martin 1980 5-speed 82k miles, but lots of upgrades.

1991 GT White 10
This has been listed on Pcarmarket for a few days with no real bids. Looks like the car spent from 1999 to 2002 in Kirkland. Anybody recognize this car or their ownership? Looks like no wrecks, although it certainly has been used. GT people: is that exhaust similar to stock? Are there only 2 mufflers plus the cats on GT‘s? Or do they come stock with a rear muffler? Just wondering about the exhaust. KR Martin 1980 Metallic Black w/ a number of updates…..

Sharktuner in Portland area?
Alex, the person that bought my 928, is chasing a rough idle. Since it has a Sharktuner chip, perhaps that might give a clue. Is there someone int he Portland area that has the Sharktuner app? I suggested he join here, but in the meantime you can respond here and I'll forward any info. Bill

Body side mouldings
Odd request. Misplaced mine in a couple of moves, so before I dig deep into the recesses of the garage I thought I'd check here to see if someone has some S4 (89) body side mouldings in black. Thinking of putting them back on for now since my anticipated full repaint is on hold (15 years now LOL). If you've got some, let me know. Thanks, Tom

manu-el transmission g28/05
Hey group - I have a recently removed G28/05 manual trans that I pulled out of my 81. It has ill syncros that don't let you shift from 4-3 and 3-2. Shifting up is fine, but the downshifts aren't usable. So it's a core trans taking up increasingly valuable space in the shop. Great for someone that wants to send one away for rebuild. I think core price is about $300, so that takes it away. Located in Tacoma. Jeff Evans

I was driving home today from soccer and spotted a red S4 in my neighborhood that I had never seen before. I stopped in the road to look at it better and saw the home owner cutting his grass. He saw me stop and turned off his mower to hear me ask if it was a 87 or 88. He said 88, and as I had a car rolling up behind me, I told him I had a 85 and I’d stop by one day to chat. A friend tonight said she saw me stop in front of her house…other side…and was yelling at me to ask why I had stopped…but my passenger side window was up and I’m driving a 2000 diesel? Anyway, she said she’s pass on my contact info, so I gave her my info and the group email. Hoping he chimes in!?? 1980 track car (Portland) 7
Haven't seen this one around. Anyone know more about it, says 5.0 supercharged. Looks like a CIS euro engine (maybe 5.0 bottom end)? Keith, have you seen this one at the track? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/470137192629496/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ab916b86b-6b6a-47b3-b1fc-848f70ad456b

Continental Orange 78 in Portland Copart 4
https://www.copart.com/lot/85813494/salvage-1978-porsche-928-or-portland-north Anyone know more about this. Late number Euro 78. Important part being 5sp and originally continental orange (relatively rare). Looks like a lot of work, but if you have space, store it for the future and save from the crusher. Does anyone know how the Oregon Lien process works? Might go up in value after the coming apocalypse :D .

Extra circuit in seat back? 3
Does anyone know offhand what the extra connector is for under the seat, with a pair of wires going up into the backrest? Both the 12-way seats in my ‘88 S4 (4 pairs of wires, one vacant) and the 8-way seats I acquired on eBay last year (one pair of wires, vacant) have it. -Joe
