For the seat problem next time at Walmart (or Amazon) pick up some CRC Electronic Cleaner then spray the seat switches liberally. The contacts get dirty and 75% of the time electronic cleaner gets them working again.?

?

Tomorrow Buy CRC Electronic Cleaner, Quick Dry for Sensitive Electronics, 11 oz at Walmart.com

Some details....

Color: Dunkelblau (dark blue); Interior: Linen upholstery, custom blue carpeting. .
Miles: 149K
Automatic
GT cams installed by Hergesheimer in 2002.
$21,500

Receipts from new, including rebuilt trans and other work by Precision Motorworks (Greg Brown).

Some highlights:? Sharktuner chip and tuned. Ott X-pipe. Runs great; good paint.

5K on TB/WP and rollers, porktensioner? done in 2011

Needs:
Dash is cracked from 22 years in California - The Jaeger cover in good shape.
Driver's side bolster needs new leather (rest of leather is in good shape).
Slow leak in A/C.
Passenger seat back doesn't move forward at present, but should be an easy fix. With a little more good weather I'll take a stab at it.

This car was owned in the Los Angeles from new until 2014, when I bought and moved it to Washington State. It has been stored inside since then. In 2002, the 3rd owner had GT cams installed, which increased the horsepower from 316HP to 326 HP. It's for sale because I don't use it enough these days to warrant keeping it.

It is in excellent condition, with:
?
Maintenance receipts from new.
Rare Dunkelblau (Dark Blue) paint color with recent corrections.
Ott X-pipe, and Sharktunened.
Aftermarket wheels, dark blue carpeting, amplifier
PPI in 2014 and maintenance by Greg Brown, Motorwerks in 2011 and earlier.
?
Work done since 2014:
Replaced:
- motor and transmission mounts
- torque tube bearings.
- timing belt and all rollers
- torque converter

Known needs or issues:
- AC system has a leak.
- Driver's seat bolster needs repair.
- Dash cracks under nice dash cover.

Re: Throttle Grotto

Ha. Love it (if it fits). I’ve always thought those ‘02-08 Maseratis (as in, the whole car) would make a worthy replacement for my 928 if I ever decided to sell it and continue using something equally silly as a daily driver. (I did neither.) But if you think it’s hard to find a 928 with a manual gearbox…

This has got to be just about the most ‘philosophically correct’ (for lack of a better term) 928 engine swap I’ve seen. (Sorry if this is a spoiler for the latter half of the YouTube video that I haven’t watched yet, but whereas the Ferrari version of the F136 has a flat-plane crank and a very different character, the original Maserati version has a cross-plane crank configuration, such that Jeff’s creation may end up sounding nearly indistinguishable from a stock 928, depending on his exhaust choices!)
