If you have a pretty decent video editing system you can make VCD's wich will play on DVD players. But you do have to use the MPEG1 standard (which you are right, pretty well sucks for anything other than animation). I can record MPEG2 files to DVD with menu options, so once I get a tape from you I will play with it. I can also turn the still images into part of the movies/option menu. Well the only thing I can think of is that the 91 S4 got the GT exhaust, the muffler I removed had dual pipes rather than the single oval. Apart from that all is standard. Well I just found out that I cannot produce DVD discs as I had thought (told you this was all new) so I am of to Costco to get a bunch of tapes. Looking at it using mpeg1 on the computer just doesn't do it justice. Have had some fun with the editing though, editor is capable of more than I thought (apart from producing DVD files ....) My air con is going to get recharged tomorrow, Leif was supposed to do it when I had my 60K service but I looked through the receipt and I couldn;t see an item for it. If it was low 18 months ago I am surprised it lasted this long. How is the tube or have you been taking a break (no pun intended). Dave Schmidt from where I used to work who lurks on the PCNW list is of to Seattle on Friday to hopefully pick up the GT. We may be growing. Hey Chris, Glad to hear you had a safe, although hot, ride home. Thanks once again for allowing me to take your shark down the strip. Once thing I've noticed about your 928, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it has a very distinct exhaust tone. I noticed it first at the dyno day, and confirmed it watching the films at Curt's website. I had forgotten about it, and then noticed it again when I filmed you racing at the strip. It sounds much more throaty from idle up to about 3K when it then sounds like the other RMB'd 928's. Am I dreaming here? Next time you watch the drag race videos, let me know if you hear the same. It's a great tone, I wish I knew had to duplicate it. My RMB is on the way, so I'll have a similar exhaust note soon, but I don't think it'll be the same. Do you have any other exhaust mods? By the way, in reply to your other post, I would love a CD of those drag films when you get the chance. Take care, and I'll see at the Showdown. -Adam ---------- From: Chris Ford <chris@...>home, the rear worked fine but the output is too puny to cool the car and airfrom the front was only marginally cooler than the outside air. I guess itneeds a recharge but what a day to go south, my daughter was in the back and OKbe much better for the experience !!!has the (un)official PCNW website.------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free Conference Calling with Firetalk!
