Re: More play during the lock down

Very nice work Steve and Bonnie.? Bonnie, I didnt see Steve's answer to your question, if the frontier towns for his RR layout were? created from kits? When Steve mentioned they being? his Bana buildings..it could be kits from a company
?named Bana Modelwork.? My spouse is into quilting and was impressed with? what you showed.? Meanwhile,
hoped you all are getting your covid shots and staying safe...? ? ?

I think this gives you idea of what type of quilts I make.? They are mostly traditional patterns with contemporary fabrics.? I have a long arm computer controlled quilting machine so am able to do very intricate, precise quilting designs on them.? Most of them are already in their new homes.? However, I keep some in the cupboard that can be given to someone who needs the comfort of a quilt because of life circumstances.

BTW, I sold my home in Mexico.? I will make one more trip down there to clear out my personal belongings.? I didn't want to sell it but felt it was the right thing to do at this time.

Hope you all are doing well during this unsettling time.

I'm curious about your quilting Bonnie.
Do you perhaps have a picture or 2 you could share?
I think we would all be interested in seeing them

Steve,

I love the level of detail.? Amazing that the windows open.? Are those kits?? Why is the one building called a Banta building?

I have noticed that "makers" are managing this lock down much better than most people.? It keeps us sane.

I finished another building today.?? That's 5 more buildings to go on the railroad.

This is actually fun when I can get a whole building done in a day.

? I slowed down a bit and worked on a Banta building.? It's coming out real well
I sure like it's character. take a look

fun

Happy New Year to all...and for the Chinese lunar new year on Feb 12th. Steve's comment that his moms birthday being on Valentine day makes it easy to remember is nice, but one of my son's birthday being on St Patrick day think he's getting
short changed having two celebration event on one day.? Steve have you expanded your train layout into the kitchen yet? Gary F thing I remembered about Miss Jacopetti? (I think she gotten married a few years after we left Roosevelt) she was an OHS
grad herself, and she said she was preparing us for teachers at OHS who are still there. And Claire with all your activities
with dogs somehow I envision your home with lots of rooms for dogs to roam.? Gary T, last year we attended a? ? social gathering at a friends house in Belmont hill, it was nice home? ?but it was stairways to their home, stairway to living room
stairway to kitchen, bedrooms...etc. I remember saying to my spouse, I;m glad we lived in the flatter part of Belmont.?

Re: Vallentine

Hey Steve,

Good to hear from you. Things have been quite on our website and I was thinking recently, that maybe people. lost interest in staying in touch. Not much fishing these days with the cold weather and rain here. My wife and I are thinking of moving out of the foothills and into the Sac. valley area. We have too much property to care for and we want to downsize to a one story house.? Getting too old to climb stairs and perform house and yard maintenance?

Anybody out there have any news to impart?

Gary T.

Pyramid is a great place except when the lake "turns over"
It was one of my favorite places all the years I lived in Reno.
Have you tried Walker lake in Hawthorne??? Big ones in there too.
