Re: Vallentine

Happy New Year to all...and for the Chinese lunar new year on Feb 12th. Steve's comment that his moms birthday being on Valentine day makes it easy to remember is nice, but one of my son's birthday being on St Patrick day think he's getting
short changed having two celebration event on one day.? Steve have you expanded your train layout into the kitchen yet? Gary F thing I remembered about Miss Jacopetti? (I think she gotten married a few years after we left Roosevelt) she was an OHS
grad herself, and she said she was preparing us for teachers at OHS who are still there. And Claire with all your activities
with dogs somehow I envision your home with lots of rooms for dogs to roam.? Gary T, last year we attended a? ? social gathering at a friends house in Belmont hill, it was nice home? ?but it was stairways to their home, stairway to living room
stairway to kitchen, bedrooms...etc. I remember saying to my spouse, I;m glad we lived in the flatter part of Belmont.?

Gary F. from San Ramon. Thank you again, Steve, for pushing us to come out of our hiding places and communicate with one another. For February, please don't forget that Lincoln Mintz and Gary were the youngest ones in the class and were born in the month of February. And to Gary T., yes, I feel your pain when it comes to trying to do the normal maintenance chores we used to do. I probably ignore tasks I used to do, including climbing up into trees to prune them. And stairs now require a conscious effort to conquer them. During this pandemic my wife is cleaning here and there and re-organizing stuff, but I find myself just doing a lot more reading. Miss Jacopetti at Roosevelt would be happy since she complained to my mother in 8th grade that I wasn't doing much reading. If anything, my wife and I still try to do our morning walks, rain or shine, and they go for 1 - 2 miles. The AARP magazine reminds us to keep moving, and our walks are important. Claire, it's good hearing from you, too, and are you familiar with a federal magistrate judge in Portland named John Acosta? John was my student when he was in 8th grade, and he recently turned 65. And we all know what we've recently turned. Shirley and I received our 1st vaccine a couple weeks ago, and our 2nd is coming Feb. 16. More reason to remember the month of February. Everyone, please stay safe and healthy, and continue to wear your masks. We'll eventually get past this. Gary F.

Hi All, Everything okay up here in Portland. February 14th is Oregon Admission day. Gary: I have lived in a condo for 17 years. I like it. no home or landscape maintenance. everything is done for me.
I almost wrote last Friday as that was the 62nd anniversary of our high school graduation, but getting to the group website seemed more effort than I was willing to expend. I guess Gary stung me with his comment about not wanting to keep in touch anymore.
I hope all are well and on their way to vaccinations.
