If you’ve been going to Sheaff’s garage up the street on College, be advised that it’s no longer the shop run by Valerie, and certainly not the one run by the Stauder brothers for many years. ?(The Stauder family lived on Oak Grove long ago and had a Chevron station where Smitten Ice Cream now stands!)

A big shout out to all. Good to see that the caring, engaging, friendly spirit of our block has survived the ravages of the past two years. ?And good to see all you all again! I believe this is the largest turnout we have ever had.
In the spirit of wandering kitchen items, a pair of 16 inch metal (slightly maimed), Tandoori basted, foundling, metal tongs hitched a ride home with me. ?Neatly cleaned, they are sitting on the bench of my front deck at 5622 awaiting return to their tender, loving home.
