Re: interesting jupiter tonight
The GRS and Io's shadow are easily seen. But i can't see Io itself. Seeing
not as good as i had hoped. Scope also has some tube currents.

The great red spot will be on the face of jupiter tonight around

Hi Matt,
I'm going to the North Frontenac Star Party this weekend with my brother. We're staying at the Lakeside Inn near Bon Echo.

Hi Simon!
I know the company you're talking about. There is another one as well, I forget where it is.
Agree with you on Lunt's tech support. It's excellent.
They are always happy people to talk

Re: Frank Bayerl
I've known Frank for decades, but I know so little about him. It's hard to know the quiet and serene ones. Yes, he was a regular at OAFs sidewalk sessions. He once confided in me, at a post-sidewalk

Re: Nirvana site visit
A few more quick comments about Nirvana: it looked like they might be widening the road. And there were wires tied off to trees so they wouldn¡¯t droop on the road.

Re: Solar Scope
The white one looks to be the Lunt LS102FHa, but can't tell you if it's double-stacked, as the double-stack unit would be just in front of the focuser, which is obstructed by the mount.
The gold one

Hi Folks,
Frank was a very kind, soft spoken gentleman. I first met him at the Texas
Star Party decades ago!
Ginny and I wish his friends and family our condolences.
Have a great day.
