Special Evening Passport Application Acceptance Day, May 4 ¨C
Over 300 additional Passport Appointments!
?
The American Citizen Services Units in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv will host a special passport application acceptance event from 1500 until 2000 on Thursday, May 4.? Appointments will be released on Tuesday, April 25 between 3 and 4pm (due to the holiday on April 26).? These appointments are only for those who require an in-person interview (generally, families seeking a minor¡¯s passport, U.S. citizens obtaining their first 10-year adult passport after turning 16, or those who are renewing an adult passport that was issued more than 15 years ago).?
?
We will not be offering first-time passports for people who are not already documented as U.S. citizens or Consular Reports of Birth Abroad. We will not be offering emergency passports to applicants with these appointments, but we are releasing plenty of emergency appointment for U.S. citizens with emergency travel during our regular hours.
?
We will be doing other special passport application acceptance events outside of our normal business hours during the summer.? Future events will be announced on the Embassy¡¯s and Office of Palestinian Affairs¡¯ social media accounts.?
?
Adult Renewals and Limited-Validity, Emergency Passport Replacement ¨C No interview Required
?
We only accept DS-82 and DS-5504 applications through the drop box or mail as it is the easiest and most effective way to renew a 10-year passport that is still valid (or even one that is expired by less than 5 years) and to replace a limited-validity passport (within one year of its issuance) ¨C no travel, no lines, and less stress! We are expanding the pandemic-era drop box to both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv to assist citizens who are in a hurry or who would rather drop items off in person.? The Jerusalem drop box will be available during the May 4 event, and the new Tel Aviv drop box will make its debut at the same time.
?
Whether you are mailing it in or dropping it off in the drop box, get it done right the first time to avoid unnecessary delays!?
?
For adult renewals, follow the instructions on our website .
?
For replacement of a limited-validity emergency passport, please follow the instructions.??
?
We also place a QR code sticker on the back of every emergency passport issued by Embassy Jerusalem that will take you directly to the instructions!
