Circumstances and Free-Will
Rabbi Shmuel Kariver said: "Cherish no hate for your brother who offends, because you have not offended like him. If your fellow-man possessed your nature, he might not have sinned. If you possessed his nature, you might have offended as he has done. A man's transgressions depend not entirely upon free-choice, but oftentimes upon many other circumstances."
