easy life
Hi Scott and anybody: Why not made a bit easy life of the ACLOG users? A few minor changes or suggestions for any ACLOGs upgrade: 1)To allow enter date and time data without separators (/, :), and let program make itself separations? Why separators are necessaryly mandatory for enter data? 2)Repeat last date from previous qso logged? 3)"Turn on"/Turn off" functions: for on and off date/time: good for logged old qsos from hand logbook, avoiding program set from system date and time. 4)Build famous table I have suggestion before, where user enter frequency and program automactically would enter band, mode, rsts data (59 or 599 by default, depending mode entered)? User could modify that table. 4)E-mail field that would allow users send any e-mail without exit of ACLOG? In version 2.4: Would be [possible to print QSO record #? I think that not too much logging designers answer too fast, as You do it, all users requeriments: You are a true leader in this aspect. But, It is too much work for made a bit more easy, life to all all yours users? Ham comunity would be glad. 73Radhames, hi3ab PD Pse my apology for any grammar mistake.

Screen Resolution
3
Hi Scott and all. I have been a registered using of AClog for about a month now and enjoy it very much. My one request would be a version that would take up less space on my screen. The fields and log data fonts are quite large and probably good for some, however running several apps at the same time is a problem.

NAQP cabrillo file

The cabrillo output of NAQP 1.4 does not specify power output (qrp/low/qro) therefore the awards manager will not accept my log...Does anyone know of a fix for this? 73 de Justin W3JGG

Rig interface
Just got my W1GEE cable today for the Icom 736 and it works great (of course) with ACLog2.3. FYI, the 736 number for the string is 40. Great job (again) Scott. Ed/kg4qmi. PS. Scott, the change freq. test worked too. Sent the cmd w/o converting to hex and the rig went to 28.475. ACLog Beta Testers NEEDED!
2
Hi All, It looks as if Amateur Contact Log 2.4 is almost ready! The enhancements included in version 2.4 are: - Indexing and RAM loading for significantly faster performance - Labels indicating if a contact/QTH is new and whether a QSL is needed - Ability to more easily move controls on the form by right clicking on the control's label - UTC time determined by your system settings on startup - Terminates CW with ESC key - Enhanced CW timing - CW being sent is displayed on the main form - Option to send CW via your parallel port - Prosigns - Function to send CW practice - Display of Frequency Privileges I have run a good number of tests here, but before I make version 2.4 generally available I would really appreciate it if you would give the program a whirl and e-mail me your feedback. You won't find version 2.4 on my website, but you can download the installation files directly from: http://n3fjp.ky1v.com/ACLOG24.exe After you download ACLOG24.exe, double click on the file using Windows Explorer to install the program. Please send me an e-mail if you decide to try version 2.4 at snkdavis@.... I'm hoping that I will be able to fix any problems that may come to light and make the program generally available in the next week or so. There are lots of additional enhancements on the list for ACLog and as soon as 2.4 is complete I will be moving forward with them. As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for your help and feedback. I really appreciate it. 73, Scott, N3FJP snkdavis@... www.n3fjp.com Serving the Amateur Radio Community with general logging and contesting software since 1997.

ACLog 2.4 testing
Have downloaded the beta and will be testing it on a P3 450 Win 98SE system. Do not do CW any more so will not test that feature. GOD bless Richard N4NDR

D/L
Blank I am d/l 2.4 and do only CW so I will use the new functions and report on them this week. I have my serial port for the cw hookup for my QRP rigs and will see how they work now with all the new features. I also installed the maximum of RAM in my unit and the AMD K6 380Mhz with 160Mb Ram will put it to the test. Scott I have finished logging all of my log books and now am checking with all my shoe boxes of QSL cards. I actually found 2 new countries I had not logged at worked and received so it has netted me two new ones for my total. That is all of the 35 years of logs and cards are now in the program. Now to make sure I have a back-up too. I am really interested to see how it will work now with the 2.4 version and the new features. Thanks again for all your help and guidance. AC log 2.4 question
2
Upgrade from 2.3 to 2.4 went smoothly no problems. 2.4 runs quite abit faster than 2.3 To speed up even faster is it possible to have the possibility of running qrz lookup from memory along with cd rom? I can transfer the QRZ database to memory and run it from there..2.4 only gives cd rom possibility. Is it feasable to have an eqsl sent/receive box? Have not tried an adif output file yet.. First glance says you have a winner. Richard N4NDR

QRZ lookup ver 2.4
Scott For some reason, using the QRZ cd is faster than the ACLog lookup feature even though the adlog data is on the harddrive. Is there a way to specify where the QRZ cd is located? I have two cd drives and the program makes me use the "d" drive. If you could give us a choice of location it would be appreciated. You could then chose what drive (D or E or F) to use or even a harddrive location. Some place the QRZ data on their harddrive (c:\callbk) to speed it up, or to free their cd drive to listen to music or something.. Just a comment for your consideration..

Alert function in 2.4

ACLog 2.4 beta test
The program is running well. I only have a little over 300 contacts entered so notice only a small speed improvement. I did notice that when I installed 2.4 and told it to transfer settings from 2.3 it did not transfer the labels I had entered for other, other1, etc. Don't know if it was supposed to though. 73 Glenn Rogers WA5ZJK

2.4 few questions
2
Hi Scott and everybody: About ACLOG v 2.4 a few questions: 1- Spectrum Map background color: It is not possible change color (too blue color its unresist); 2-Voice Navigation: Why worked it in 2.3 and doesnt in 2.4; 3-Settings: Nothing for transmit RTTY setup? 4-Callbook Horseflying 2003 or later: How link it with ACLOG 2.4? Anyway: wich field it suppose to enter data about name and qth, from any callbook database: name field or comments field? 5-Whats use of List Matches Tab (settings)? 6-Recall: I never have understood whats the use of this function 7.-Configuration Regional and languaje settings format: How afect the use of ACLOG different time/date configurations format that are using for any other software? Wich valid for ACLOG? HOPE (for 2.5, 2.6 and so on upgrades): A) Frequency/band/mode/rst table: where user would enter only frequency data and program automactically would enter band, mode and both rst data; B) Big help to all users: make program enter automactically cq/itu zones data. At this time its too hard make it one by one. C)Add a couple "bells and whistles" I sent to You long time ago. CONGRATULATIONS!! for your effort. All ham comunity are very glad. 73, Radhames, hi3ab Radhames, hi3ab Consigue aqu las mejores y mas recientes ofertas de trabajo en Amrica Latina y USA: Haz clic aqu

dxcluster
4
Scott, Wondering if there might be a chance you could add a check box like the QSL sent / receive boxes that would allow you to send a spot directly to the dxcluster instead of having to click on the window then click the spot last button then hit enter. I other words, once you've filled out the information to log a contact you could have the option of checking the box labeled "send to packet cluster" or something like that then when you would hit enter to log the entry into you log book it would automatically send the spot to the dxcluster. Previous contact bug
5
Hello Scott. I have been trying 2.4 for a few days and have found a small bug. After entering the call sign of a previous contact, the log shows all previous contacts. However while tabbing through the sent and rec fields, all of the previous contacts vanish from view?? Thats all I've found so far. Richard W8WWT (N8NZ)

Sort on Date problem AClog 2.4
2
Scott: I have 4601 qso's in logbook but can not get sort on date function to work. The pop-up screen does not go entirely away when I select Yes.. I can see the bottom of it below the logbook list. I waited awhile as you suggest, but after 20 minutes I figured it was hung. I got out of AClog and restarted it and the entries seemed to be sorted ok.. Tried again with same results.. win 98 se 512 MB ram Richard
