Thanks for your e-mail.? Use the default File Share for AC Log.? To network multiple PCs, simply put your log file in a location that is accessible to all the PCs you wish to network by clicking File > Save As.? Then, from the other PCs, click File > Open, navigate to the file and select it.? Any contacts you enter should appear on all PCs in a minute or less (depending on the refresh rate you set). That's all there is to it!

I want to put my full ACL log on another computer in the shack. And, be able to update the log from either computer. For example. If I am running WSJT on one computer on 20 meters and WSJT on another computer on 17 meters, when I log a QSO on either computer I want the log to update. I understand I have to keep one of the computers as the "MAIN" home for the log. I just want update my contact log each time I make a QSO and not have to pencil/note the contact and transfer it over.?
I'm confused on "file sharing" in networking. I can't seem to get things to work properly. I can automatically log directly to ACL on my primary computer but when I make a QSO from the other station set-up, it goes nowhere.
Help.

If you do it this way don't check for duplicates in your log without checking for pota numbers.?? I am not sure if there is a way to include sig_info in dupe check

Easy Way To Duplicate A Log Entry?
I'm sure this has probably been discussed, but I don't remember when...
This morning I was scanning across 15 & 20 meters for Parks On The Air stations to work, and I managed to work a few... Later this afternoon while looking at my Hunters log on the POTA website and I notice that one of the stations I had worked this morning had activated a 2-fer (an area where one entity like a State Park overlaps with a National Park, Historic Trail, WMA, etc) and their log shows an entry for the entity I logged plus another one.
What is the easiest or best way for me to duplicate the one entry in my log so I can have one entry in my log for each POTA entity I worked?

Thanks for your thoughts.? I always use space bar to tab here, as I think most folks do.? I don't use the tab key at all.? I also set the software to auto fill RST, so, when using the jump to next DX spot on entry function, the call is prefilled and it is just a matter of entering the serial.? I try to avoid mouse grabs as much as possible, though I do use it when I want to work stations out of band map sequence or grab spots from the world map.
This weekend was busy and I was only able to get about 17 hours in, instead of my more typical +- 25, which I consider a full effort for me.? Conditions were rough Saturday morning when I got started, but seemed to improve throughout the weekend on the high bands.? With my early to bed, early to rise schedule, I was unable to operate the low bands much at all.
Right click the Zoom value label to clear it and the band map will auto scale for you.

After entering the Call, you can either Tab to the next Field (59 for the WPX log), then Tab again for the Serial Number Field.
Or you can Mouse Click on each of those Field locations - works the same way.

That said, I do have two questions / comments related to the Contest software packages:
- CTRL F does not always activate the Frequency window.? It depends on where the cursor is at the time.? For CTRL F to work properly, you must insure the cursor is positioned in one of the data entry Fields.? Not a big deal, but sometimes requires an extra mouse click.
- CRTL E brings up the spot list for the Band currently active.? I usually start at the lowest active frequency spot in the band, then work up in frequency (from the top of the list in a downward direction).? Eventually, I get to the bottom of the spot list.? Is there some quick way to jump back to the top of the list (lowest frequency), AND reset the window spacing?? Scrolling the mouse wheel takes a long time.
Scott must not have spent much time operating WPX.? I ended up right behind him on HamDash? Great fun to occasionally check it during the contest.? Had a 4.5 hour downtime Sunday morning for thunderstorms and a computer that failed to restart after the shutdown.? The Bands were tough here in the Midwest

Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry that you have run into trouble.? Your records must have an S added to the Sent Confirmed By field, so that AC Log does not hand them to TQSL again for signing and upload, which prompts the TQSL duplicate detected error message. For your records to be marked as Sent to LoTW in AC Log (L in the Sent Confirmed By field), the following criteria must be met:
1. Your records must be successfully uploaded to LoTW. 2. Your records must be successfully downloaded from LoTW 3. The callsign must match the call of the station worked. 4. The band must match the band of the station worked. 5. The date and time in AC Log must match the date and time on the LoTW record.
Note that to speed processing, once AC Log finds a match, it doesn't continue searching your log for more matches, so if you have two or more contacts with the same station on the same band at the same time (such as working county line stations in a state QSO party), only one of the QSOs will be automatically marked.? When that occurs, just edit the unmarked contact and mark it manually.
If you continue to have trouble, click the option to display raw data on AC Log's LoTW form when you do the download.? If the QSOs are not included in the download, the LoTW server is not providing them.? If they are, but they are not updating in AC Log, see the data for the specific QSOs that the server provided and determine which of the above criteria is not matching.? I think you have to do that at the LOTW site, and pay a small fee for DXCC credit. I do it when I have 10 or so new countries who replied to LOTW.?
And then the rest demand a $2-5 fee. SASE days are over.?

Thanks for your e-mail.??The world map displays QSOs you have logged and DX Spots received since opening the map. To see all the locations that you have worked historically on the world map, in AC Log, click Awards > States, Countries, Counties. Then click Calculate and click the View Map buttons that appear.? Thanks for your follow up.? I originally thought the value was the same 142.? Since each record has its own specific value, the Find and Replace won't help.? You will need to edit each record in the CQ WPX software, completely clearing out the frequency field to leave a blank value.? Don't enter 0.? Just make the field blank.
Next time, be sure you have rig interface returning the correct value.? In the main form image you sent, you can see the frequency display is just a blank blue label.? Make sure it is displaying the correct frequency value in MHz and updating as you turn your VFO.

Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry that you ran into trouble.? When frequency is blank, it is gleaned from the band value.? Since you have a specific value, it sounds like you had rig interface enabled, but not configured properly.? Since 142 isn't in the ham bands, it would not have induced a band change in the software.
When exact frequency is not known, Cabrillo maps band to band to frequency as follows:
1800 or actual frequency in kHz 3500 or actual frequency in kHz 7000 or actual frequency in kHz 14000 or actual frequency in kHz 21000 or actual frequency in kHz 28000 or actual frequency in kHz You have a couple options including:
- Using a text editor such as Notepad, do a find and replace after you create the Cabrillo file, being sure to maintain Cabrillo specs. - Transfer the records to AC Log, do a bulk edit and transfer back. - Edit each record individually in the contest software, clearing out the errant data so that the frequency field is blank for each record.
Next time, make sure that you have rig interface functioning properly if enabled, or select None from the rig list.

This is a problem with my computer and not the software….I’m assuming.? Just want to see if anyone else has experienced/fixed this issue.
I turned on the Spotting function a while back and it works fine.? I suddenly began to see that when in FT8 I would click on a call in WSJTX and N3FJP will give me an error message “operation timed out” but as soon as I click “OK” the info for the QSO correctly populates in the log.
It’s just bothersome.? Anyone else experience this?? Again, probably some Windows thing maybe.
Any help appreciated.
