Re: updating bandplan.txt

Hi Pat,

Thanks for your follow up.? Keep in mind that support files, including the band plan file, also are updated each time Jim does a country update release, so if you modify the file in other ways, keep a backup and replace the update each time, or you will lose your modifications.

Also keep in mind you can choose not to display digital modes by deselecting this option here:

Re: Background Colors - QSO Rate Graph & HamDash screens

Use an image editor. You can try inverting the image (negative colors) or use an Replace Color tool like what is found in Irfanview to replace the black with any color of your choice.

Since writing my above message, have now discovered the HamDash main screen can be easily customized to a more printer friendly background (via the setting wheel).? But the QSO Rate line graph can not be changed from its black background (at least not that I can find).

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your e-mail.? If you click Settings > Allow Duplicates, you will be able to log them, but the software will still warn you.? There isn't a way to disable it entirely.

Make sure you didn't long the station on a different band or mode, or indicate he was in a different county (or you were).

Enjoy!

Is there a description anywhere of the various fields used on the Main Form?? Although most are obvious by there title, there are some which I don't understand:

  • QTH Group - What is intended to go in here, since there are other fields for state, county, country?? I've read past messages regarding the lack of a "City" field.? This field is certainly not wide enough if it is intended to be used for information like a city name.
  • ARCI?
  • Category?
  • Check?
  • Class?
  • Conf By R / Conf By S - I see from using LOTW that I will get a "L" in these fields, but I don't understand fully how these fields are populated.
  • Cont? Especially since there is an additional "Continent" field
  • Precedence?
  • Prop Mode?
  • Section?
  • St Snt?? (State Sent?)
  • SPC#?
  • Serial No Rec / Serial No Sent?
  • 10 10 (10 10 Membership Number)?

Also, I've read in past messages that the Custom fields can be customized.? How is this done other than by just entering different types of information (text vs. numbers vs. date vs. etc.)?? Can the field title be customized?? Again from past messages I'm assuming the field width cannot be changed.
