Re: Meshsense App Installation Difficulty

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your interest in MeshSense!? Unfortunately Linux devices with AMD CPUs are currently not compatible, but we hope to add support in the future.? The technical reason is that the Bluetooth library we use requires us to manually build for AMD and I haven't yet had a chance to sort out the particulars for accomplishing that.

The GitHub issue tracking this feature request can be found here:?

Thanks,

Hi Randy,

Thanks for your follow up.? Your error message indicate that our software isn't able to access your selected port.? First, your port must be installed properly, with the correct drivers, etc.

Second, Windows will not share ports with other programs, or different functions within the same program. For example, if you are using com port four for rig interface, you'll need to select another com port for CW sending in the software (and of course connect your CW interface to the com port selected for CW). Your CW sending interface and your rig interface are two different devices and each will have to be connected to a different port.

Likewise, if you are using a digital program such as WSJT, you will either need to first disable rig interface in WSJT before connecting to N3FJP Software, or disable rig interface in N3FJP Software (select None from the rig list) before connecting with WSJT.

Com port sharing errors occurs when the port is already in use by another program or another function in N3FJP Software. Whichever program or function you open first takes control of the com port. No other program or function will be able to access it until the resource is released by the program that controls it.

Most folks (including us) use USB to serial adapters for each port function, but we've also had good reports from folks using a single port and com port virtualization software, which will split a physical COM port into multiple virtual ones, like you are attempting with VSPE.? Hopefully others with more experience using com port splitters will have additional insights for you there.

Enjoy!

Guys,

I had the CQWW logger open this morning, along with my Flex 3000 when I was playing around in the contest and the computer crashed.? When I rebooted, the Flex was working but the logger didn't find the database and didn't recognize that it was registered.? I fixed those problems but it wouldn't let me log contacts, I could put in the callsign and it filled the zone and QTH but wouldn't let me enter the signal reports (rx or tx).? When I tab it totally skips those fields and I can't click in those fields either.

I checked the rights to the log file, I have everything.? I backed up my 8 contacts and uninstalled/reinstalled and let it make a new log file.? It still behaves the same.? Do you guys have any ideas of what I fouled up when the computer crashed?? No big deal because I've had too many projects today to work the contest but I might work it a while later after the XYL goes to bed!

Thanks,

Re: Yet another LoTW issue

I will also note that we should be on the latest version of TQSL. Version 2.7.5 was just released.

Yesterday I just passed 10,000 QSOs in my log, in case that makes a difference.

I know that LoTW has been discussed a lot here, but I couldn't find this particular issue in a quick archive search.

Yet another LoTW issue

After working flawlessly for years, today when I hit "All since 2024/11/22" in AClog's LoTW window, everything processed as usual, but the QSOs just processed weren't marked as "QSL Sent" nor were the ones already confirmed marked as "QSL received." Re: Suggestion for a DX Spotting Placeholder

Hi Scott,
?
A followup to my suggestion for highlighting a placeholder on the dx spotting screen:

I have found that if you right click and hold on a row, then slide the pointer off of the row, the highlight of the row will persist until the next time you select another entry.

As one great sage said "The difference between a bug and a feature is that a feature is documented and a bug is not."
