When uploading to eQSL my contacts would turn a different color and the ‘E’ would show up in the Sent Conf By column. Here recently that is not happening. Anyone know of why it has changed?? I uploaded to QRZ Logbook and the ‘Q’ shows up and those Qso’s turn red.

The Sent column does show ‘Y’ also.

Re: Field Day GOTA log

Having done the FD submittal for our club for the past 5 years, I have had to deal with similar issues. I feel your pain!

?

Scott, N3FJP, probably has an easier way to do this, so lets see if he replies.

?

Meanwhile, here are some approaches. Using the free program ADIF Master (), you can take an ADIF export of your combined FD log, sort the export by call sign (your GOTA contacts should have used a separate call sign from the other contacts), select and delete all the rows containing the GOTA contacts, and save the edited ADIF. Then create a new (empty) N3FJP FD file and import the edited ADIF. You could do this entire process twice if you want separate N3FJP FD files.

?

Another approach is to make a backup of your combined N3FJP log. Using the back up (so you do not lose the original), sort the file on Initials or Operator by clicking on the field header to group all of the contacts by Initials or Operator. Then select the first of a group you wish to delete, go to the last and do a Shift-Click to select the group. The group will be highlighted and a Delete button will appear. You may need to do this for each Operator group you wish to delete. You would need to repeat this entire process for a clean and separate N3FJP file for each of the GOTA and regular FD contacts.

?

There may be easier ways – give this a day or so and other suggestions will surely be offered by group members.

Subject: [N3FJPSoftwareUsers] Field Day GOTA log

?

I inadverdently included the GOTA logged contacts into the general log for update to ARRL for Field Day. I need to create a separate log for GOTA. Can someone help provide guidance on uncoupling the GOTA logged contacts to create a separate GOTA log in N3FJP. Field Day was my first use of this N3FJP logging softrware and I'm a newbie. The good news is that all contacts are now logged. I just need to separate GOTA to earn the points. Please let me know as soon as possible. HELP!

Re: 7300 CW key AND rig control

Andre is correct.? There is a port on the rear apron of the IC7300 that requires an A-B (printer type) cable to connect to the computer. There is a second port labeled "remote" which requires a mini jack to the radio and the other end is a USB male to the computer. When the Silicone Labs software is downloaded BEFORE CONNECTING THE USB CABLES?it will establish two comports. One will be used for keying and the other for rig control. When you check your device manager you will find the com ports. The com port numbers will vary by computer so they may be numbered differently from computer to computer. On my laptop they are Com 3 & 9, on my desktop they show up as 3 & 4. If you don't see them, go to Device Manager>View>All Hidden and they should show up perhaps greyed out. (one will show up as UART bridge and the other completely identifiable) There is no video output on the 7300, unlike the 7610. WIN4Icom can establish that with limited success. This has been my set-up since 2018. I have been selling and supporting these rigs since 2019. I have been using Scotts programs for well over a decade both contesting and ACL.

QSL's

Well, I think I found the problem!!! After some digging and going back to the eQSL web site I went to my profile and I looked at my Start date and End date. The End date was 30 May 2023!!! Duh — I changed that.

So, does anyone know if I have to send all my contacts to eQSL again? I’m assuming the answer is YES. Thanks again.

QSL's Sent

Just as an addition to my last. I noticed none of my eQSL’s have been sent to eQSL for June or July even though I upload every other day or so and the E usually shows up in the ’Sent Conf By’ column. The E is not there and I looked on eQSL and I have no QSL’s for June or July either??? Not sure what is happening so was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this ?

Thanks

Any comments please? Am I doing something wrong? I'm anticipating moving my ACL program and data to another machine in the

Re: 7300 CW key AND rig control

Dave, I think he’s saying the?type of USB port, USB-A on the computer side and USB-B on the radio side. I don’t think he’s using A & B similar to saying USB port #1 and USB port #2.

Regardless, did you try the virtual com port software I linked? I use it for RTTY off one cable and it works fine.

Re: ACLog column widths keep resetting #aclog

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for your e-mail.? I'm sorry you ran into trouble.? Make sure you close AC Log normally before shutting down your PC.? Also, make sure you still have permissions to write to MainListColumnWdith3.xml.? To see the location of the file, click File > Show File Locations.

I think you may not be correct on that.

Unless I'm doing something wrong.

The 7610 comes up with two USB ports for the single USB wire. The 7300 comes up with one.

The remote port of the 7300 can be used with a second wire to get the second USB port, Unlike the 7610 which only needs the single USB wire for the two A and B ports. Even the 7610 screen references USB A and USB B....which the 7300 does not.

The major difference between the 7610 is that the 7610 has dual VFO and video out puts. Most other connections are similar. I am happy with the two USB cables going to different ports rather than mess with VSPE or port splitters. It will also do through that set-up ACL when the port is set to None and API is invoked. I may do some minor changes when I put the FTDX10 in line. Dave Tassle also makes a cable which allow the remote port to also talk to my Expert amp. Having rig control is nice if you are a contester where some contests require exact frequency rather than band frequency.? Hope this helps. (BTW this setup also allows flawless FT8 operation with JT Alert running side by side.)

Hello Kevin. I finally got qrz working. Support told me to change the date range which I did. Now my uploads are working. Now I am waiting for a new certificate file for ARRL for my NU4N call.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for your e-mail.? There are no issues with the coordination of sending CW and polling your rig with our software.? They are entirely independent functions using two different com ports.
