Hi Edward, Thanks for your e-mail. Yes, right now only SSB and CW modes are read via rig interface. I plan to read additional modes in future enhancements. If you would like to log another mode but still want ACLog to read the frequency you can select "Don't Use" in the mode options box on the Rig Interface form and then enter the mode manually. Please let me know if you have any other questions. 73, Scott N3FJP --- In N3FJP_Software_Users@..., "Edward Leicester" <kg4qmi@e...> wrote: Scott, just noticed something. Re: VHF Contest Logger and TS-2000
I am using the Kenwood TS-2000 radio and the rig interface works fine. Here are my settings:
Rig: Kenwood CommPort: 5 Baud Rate: 9.6k Parity: None Data Bits: 8 Stop Bits: 1 Connection Power: RTS Radio Polling Rate: 500ms Check box for "Use Frequency" Check circle for "Rig" in Use Mode By
I adore this radio by the way.

Hi All,
I have a couple of quick updates:
Amateur Contact Log
A problem has come to light when running the Awards (formerly Calculate) function for the "Other 2" field in ACLog 2.4.? I have corrected ACLog and uploaded it back to the website this morning.? If you have not yet installed ACLog 2.4, you can click this link to download the full installation file:
If you have already installed ACLog 2.4, please follow these steps:
-? Close ACLog 2.4 if it is currently open
-? Click this link to download the corrected ACLog.exe file:
-? Save the corrected .exe file to c:\program files\AClog 2.4
-? Start ACLog normally
Versions 1.6 of NAQP and NAQP Network Logs Now Available!
The Cabrillo submission files created by versions 1.5 and earlier did not include the power description.? The new versions have been updated to include it.
If you operated the NAQP contest this weekend your Cabrillo file may bounce when submitted.? If so, open your Cabrillo file in a text editor such as Windows Notepad and change the category line to one of the following:
CATEGORY: SINGLE-OP ALL LOW SSB
CATEGORY: SINGLE-OP ALL QRP SSB
CATEGORY: MULTI-TWO ALL LOW SSB
Save the file, and then you can resubmit it.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to thoroughly check out the new Amateur Contact Log upgrade.? I REALLY appreciate it!

Hi Steve,
? I downloaded?your latest
version of the?"Amateur Contact Log 2.4" software and it's great. Have you
ever considered a general purpose logging program for LW, MW and SW listeners
and DX'ers? I think it would be a big hit in the SWL
community.

Hi Chuck,
After you run the installation procedure by double-clicking the setup file, you will be able to start version 2.4 from the Windows Start Menu.? You will find version 2.4 in the N3FJP Software program group.? The title bar will say 2.4.

I've downloaded and installed the 2.4 upgrade and I think that's what I'm using now, but the title bar still says ACLog version 2.3 -- is that what everyone else also experienced after download and install?

Never mind. Rig Interface is the culprit. Since R/I
automatically populates freq/band fields, they?must become part of the
search function. Therefore search only matches those fields entered. The problem
was, I wanted to find an entry in the log to update the qsl received, Search
wouldn't find it because I only knew the call. Not sure if there is a way around
that or not. I guess as long as the TAB feature finds it, thats ok. Have a good
weekend.

Subject: [N3FJP_Software_Users] Search
function
Hi Scott, I have a question. I just installed 2.4
on a slightly newer PC running w98 with 128meg. I moved everything over from
the old w95 laptop (rig interface, log files, telnet, callbook, etc.).
Everything seems ok except search. If I enter a call and hit ALT-S it does not
find the entry. If I enter the call and TAB it shows the info. This does work
on the w95 machine. I have compared settings between the 2 machines but I
wouldn't think it would be a setup issue. Any thoughts.
