i have never had to find the location of mru file list because most apps i have used offer the option of deleting an entry if it is not found. it is in machine.ini which does not seem like a good

I no longer even run Mach3, didn¡¯t care much for Mach4.
Even then I had a fair idea of where it would be, but apparently you needed spoon feeding rather than ¡°either registry or file in Mach4

i looked in every file i could find, mach3 had an xml file with all sort of crap in it that could be found but mach4 doesn't i tried using find everything but it will not look deep into the mach4

I meant some programs let you clear the list, eg in MS Office you can
right-click the list and it'll have a "Clear recents" option, something
like that.

It's called an MRU (Most Recently Used) list, and is typically stored in
the Windows registry.
Of course given the Mach devs don't have much of a clue about where you are
supposed to put stuff

i wrote before with no reply. Mach four maintains a recent fiels list but there is no wa to get rid of old files. this make a logn useless list of current files mixed with a bunch of old deleted
