Re: I hate Ebay
Playing the game... Amazon is ok they will give you a reasonable delivery date.? Date ranges equal out of China; those are dates are the biggest gamble. I do not trust any dates on EBAY for products out of China. If you are ordering from China use Aliexpress.? DHL/UPS/Fedex is about 1-2 weeks for overnight, epacket is the most reasonable if you can wait 1-2 weeks.? Standard Aliexpress shipping is 2-4 weeks, 1-2 months and depends upon where you order it from/to and you have to try the source to figure that out.? You must push the shipper to actually ship the item and stick with a reliable shipper. Bottom line.? Plan your project and order items with time to spare or pay extra for guaranteed delivery.??

I've had many package delays over the last 6 months, give or take. Beyond any political issues, all carriers also got hammered over the holiday season as the amount of online shopping shot up, accompanied by staffing concerns due to covid.

i know Trump did the cutbacks? Do we agree on this? i thought you were blaming the Biden win for the post office fucking up. maybe i misinterpreted what you were saying. DeJoy tried to systematically cripple the USPS to prevent mail in voting and to advance his interest in competing shipping companies.

开云体育What?? I'm not blaming anyone.? I was simply stating that all the CARRIERS have been really slow. Pandemics, tons of online orders, winter storms, name it.The postal service was indeed overloaded and also had serious cutbacks at the same time (before the election).? 开云体育Tracking has been horrible lately.? I show items stuck in ND, or PA, or CA for a week then presto they're at more door the next day.Shipping from all the carriers in the last several months has been fairly slow.? Coast to Coast has been taking UPS and FEDex 7-10 days and USPS about 3. Since the election, and the serious cut backs afterwards, USPS also have doubled or tripled delivery times. Record Winter Storms definitely haven't helped any.? Look at Texas! BTW, Amazon would not have been any better, there 2 day is typically 5-7 days now.? At least here. Re: Limit switch cloning.
开云体育Hi Chuck, Thanks for the reply.? I do have an A axis (Harmonic motor run with STMBL AC Servo drive) and although I may well add a home position switch to it I hadn't thought about using one of the other unused limit switches.? ? I currently use a small PIC12F609 micro-controller to monitor the DC Servo power, ENABLE from the system and the FAULT outputs from the servo.? With only 6 pins I'm limited in what I can do but changing the /FAULT output to the inverse FAULT active high is really easy. ? For that matter I can just declare the limit switch input as active high rather than active low since a broken wire to a switch isn't an issue with this.? Don't even have to change the firmware then. ? The reason for the PIC controller was that I have a soft start on the DC servo power supply so it takes a second or so for it to come on after the master power is applied.? Problem is that the Charge Pump and ENABLE output show up before the power supply is up to voltage.? It's not a problem for the HP_UHU DC Servo motor driver but is for the STMBL AC Servo drive which uses the same 105VDC power.?? It faults out when it gets the EABLE because the power supply voltage is still too low.? ? So I get this cycle of PMDX-126 gets ENABLE and switches on K2 relay which supplies relay control to the AC/DC power circuits and MACH outputs the ENABLE signal on DB25-1 out to the drives.? ? The STMBL AC Servo Drive sees low DC voltage and asserts /FAULT into the PMDX-126 Fault input.? The PMDX-126 /FAULT forces an ESTOP from that input and that shuts off the control relay for the AC/DC power circuits.? AC/DC goes bye-bye.? MACH is in RESET and then undoing that starts the whole cycle over again. ? ? By adding a delay on the FAULTs based on the DC voltage I get around the STMBL issue.? There were a few other problems but that was the biggest. ? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of chuck via groups.io

Limit switch cloning.
开云体育I'd like to add an input to MACH3 that does exactly what a limit switch input does. I want it to switch off the ENABLE (DB25-1) but leave the charge pump running (the check box is on in the config menu).?? So not quite the same as the ONLINE button. ? I want to logically OR the servo motor fault outputs so all motion stops but power is not switched off. ? ? To do this I have to remove the FAULT input to the PMDX-126 which creates an ESTOP event and shuts off servo motor power. ? A limit switch type event is more appropriate for my system.? I could logically combine say the Z upper limit with the fault and just settle for the incorrect error message but I'd rather have the input generate a message that says "Fault Input Active". ? Is there a way to do this with MACH3?? ? Thanks John ? ? "ELS! Nothing else works as well for your Lathe" Automation Artisans Inc. www dot autoartisans dot com ? |
ONLINE Button
开云体育I've been mucking around with handling servo motor faults connected into my PMDX-126 on my CNC mill.? The PMDX-126 is configured to use the Charge Pump as is MACH3 on WIN-XP. ? I'd like some clarification on what the ONLINE button does. ? What appears to happen is if a fault occurs the PMDX-126 acts as if the ESTOP was pressed and all outputs are switched off including the Charge Pump and the ENABLE pin.? (Charge Pump currently set to not stay on during ESTOP).? Remove the fault and click on the RESET button and the system comes back on as do the indicators showing Charge Pump (DB25-17 output) and the Enable Pin (DB25-1 output). ? Now if I set Leave Charge Pump on during ESTOP and again create a fault the system shuts off.? But clicking the RESET button doesn't work and reports external Estop requested.??? Only if I click twice on the ONLINE button does the system allow the RESET button to work.? Now with the Charge Pump back the RESET switches on the ENABLE pin and the outputs are back. ? In both cases if I click on the ONLINE button it appears as if the Charge Pump signal is removed and then re-asserted. ?Have I got that right? ? And if I disable the Charge Pump (X in the Outputs) then the ONLINE button doesn't appear to do anything other than disable the motion keys on the keyboard. ?I would have thought the output pins marked as Enable_x would go false.? Even a LIMIT switch will cause the Enables to go false and RESET button to blink.? Remove the limit switch issue and the reset brings back the Enable. ? I feel the Charge Pump, especially since it's supported on the PMDX-125/126, is an absolute must.? If the PC crashes things like motors that run open loop like coolant or a spindle must stop even though it uses a pin.? ? However I'm surprised at the behavior of the ONLINE button.? Why would it remove the Charge Pump and not bring the ENABLE pins low?? Or is there a configuration bit I'm missing? ? ? Thanks John ? ? ? ? ? "ELS!
