Re: Boxford Duet Mach 3 conversion
Hi dave, I have Mach3 on a old laptop running windows XP, which also also runs my Roland CAMM-2 PNC-2300 Desktop Rotary Engraver software, Mach4 is not a free upgrade.
Most of the Hardware I have chosen has been well tested on the Mach3 platform. In my case Mainly boils down to cost, I am currently in between jobs,? my current funds do not warrant me investing in new software, all i have is time, Hence the Youtube videos. The Total cost in replacement parts for the Duet is currently UK ?69, all parts brought on amazon. I did buy the parts some time back when i was working to upgrade the Roland. ?21.88? SUPERNIGHT 12V 30A Switching Power Supply
?23.00? MACH3 Controller USB MACH3 100Khz Motion Controller Card Breakout Board CNC Controller Card for Stepper Motor Servo Motor
?23.99? 3 X Dealikee TB6600 4A 9-42V Stepper Motor Driver CNC Controller
Hope this helps ? |
Re: Coil Winder
开云体育My memory Mach/coil winding is the monthly question of ???head honcho of Mach4??? regarding when the updated coil winding screen would be finished. The answer was always some flavour of “real soon now”. I removed myself from the Mach mailing list so can’t help. ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Dave Sage

Re: Boxford Duet Mach 3 conversion
I have started the Duet conversion to Mach3, very little on the net, So i decided to dive in, to be honest seems quite a simple conversion as most of the wiring has been done.
I have created a few youtube videos starting with Part 1, if anyone whats a heads up of my conversion. Title, Boxford Duet Turn & Mill Duo Mach3 conversion (Part 1) |

Re: Boxford Duet Mach 3 conversion
I use an MB3 interface board purchased on-line from CNCroom.com together with an Ethernet Smooth Stepper motion control card.? The two together are an excellent solution and have been faultless on my mill.?With the MB3/ESS combination only a single output 24 vdc power supply is required, the MB3 has a 0-10v analogue output for vfd speed control and properly isolated I/O allowing 24 vdc to be used for limit switch circuits etc.
