Re: Mach4 Lathe - Turn Cycles
开云体育Funny I was playing with that code 2 days ago for fun... My goal
is go get back on it as soon as I finish the engraving software
update we are doing. I try to do little pet projects like this for
some fun night time programming :)
I can give you the code as it is but it needs an interface to
feed in the "profile"

Re: Mach4 Lathe - Turn Cycles
开云体育Hi Brian, ? I just found this quite old mail about a new LUA roughing routine for Mach4 Lathe… ? Von: [email protected] <[email protected]>
Im Auftrag von Brian Barker ? I think we can now send attachments ... I did a new roughing bit of code for turn in LUA! I just got it to work on my test profile. This is going to be as good as Cam software. ______________________________ ? Brian Barker ? Webpage: On 9/10/2020 4:43 PM, Andy Wander wrote:

Re: Smoothing text
I suggest a finishing toolpath in VCarve - if this an option.
I have aspire, so I know I have a finishing toolpath, I wish I could toggle between Aspire and VCarve abilities as it would make it easier to understand the options of VCarve users.. I think, but could be wrong with my generalized thinking, but mach is the command center between your toolpath and your electronics and your router.... It could be mach, but it could be something physical. ie, is your spoil board perfectly trammed to your router? Tamra |
Re: saved files
开云体育for some reason ebay will not recognize the link so just search for item number 202761399254 i have one of each of the Optiplex 760 which is smaller but no slot 755 and GX270 the 270 is quite old but i have one that i am still using. i will replace it with something else if it dies. the 755 is newer? all have parallel ports optical drives and i think and two have floppies but probably not the smaller one? i will give any of them away for the shipping cost but do not
really recommend using them. the small Lenovos are great but you
do need to get a controller like the ESS i do not recommend USB

Re: saved files
开云体育i think someone asked what computer i am using now. this is the
last one i bought and they have just one left? but they are pretty
easy to find. they are very quiet and boot fast, no fan which
probably is better in a dusty environment. i blow dust out every
10 minutes or so when i blow dust out of my spindle VFD i think
you can get by with the smaller SSD if you are just running mach4
and a few utilities and do not have millions of files.

开云体育it is pouring now but will check as soon as i can go outside
without getting drenched. remind me if i forget, it may never stop
raining. i will probably have to remove the hard drives if they
are still there since purging them would be too much trouble. i
think the ones that are left are the larger ones but still "SFF" i
already dumped the smaller ones when i could find no takers a
while ago. On 10/24/2021 4:08 AM, budman6899

Re: Mach3 Tool Setter macro
开云体育My tool setter probe is .781” tall. Without? thinking, I changed the Z retract height from 1” to .5 “. ?That was the problem I created. The answer is that the retract height must be greater than the thickness of the probe. Once I changed it back to 1” it then worked correctly. Dan Mauch Dan ? Re: saved files
On the other hand Brian's ticket system prevents a potential new user from browsing the support forum and concluding that "there are zillions of problems so maybe I should consider a different product". Also, it denies support for users of cracked versions of Mach4.

To get support you need to submit a ticket on the Machsupport website, and they will do their best to help you out. One of the best things about the Mach3 support groups in the past was that I would see all of the problems that people were having, and the solutions, so I could just search the archive if I had a vague recollection of hearing about some issue I was having. I think that Brian's decision to do support only through individual cases is unfortunate, because they may solve the same problem 1000 times for 1000 different people, but there is no way for anyone else to get the benefit of that. The 1001st person will still have to submit a ticket and get individual help... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of spencer@...
