I noticed that using only 1 parallel port does not have enough pins
to handle all the limit/home switches for 3 axis and the solution is
to combine some limit switches. However, I found out that mach2
allows the use of 2 parallel ports which should provide more pins for
limit switches. A second parallel port requires me to buy a PCI
parallel port card and an additional parallel port break out board
(controller) like the www.pmdx.com. Can someone verify before I
purchase these items that the second parallel port for mach2 can be
used for additional limit/home switches?
