Re: VHF?
It's also important to note that the equivalent to M17 (rough equivalent, not a perfect one) is a 9kHz wide FM signal. Even with the baud rate limitations being lifted on HF, the signal is still too

Re: VHF?
In the US, you can go down as far as 6m, and even 10m in some circumstances. It's easier to experiment up in UHF land, due to the amount of equipment available. -- Steve KC1AWV M17 Project

VHF?
This might be a bit of a silly question, but here goes:? Are we allowed to do M17 on VHF?? All of the radio examples I see on the M17 Project site are UHF, so I'm wondering if there are bandwidth or

Re: Quansheng Stretch ?..
The Quansheng mod is some of the most exciting work in ham radio. It can become the easiest and cheapest way for a ham to dip their toes in modes requiring flat audio. There was only 1 (one) HT radio
Re: Quansheng Stretch ?..
The easiest is using the NucleoTNC as a TNC for M17 packet mode. You would need 2 or more devices that speak M17 packet mode. However, packet mode right now is hit or miss with this radio. I am

Re: Please talk about the CS800d fcc part 90
I wasn't planning to mod it. I'm hoping Connect Systems would release a M17 version - that's modded. I'll wait. Thanks.

Re: Please talk about the CS800d fcc part 90
If you mod it, I doubt that it will keep the part 90 cert. I've had one, it's a decent radio. -Joe [email protected]> wrote:

Sorry, you are correct, $329. without the programming cables and GPS. OK re. Connect Systems needing to make hardware mods. OK re. the CS-7000 M17 handhelds. I'm not where a handheld is viable (in

Re: Please talk about the CS800d fcc part 90
David: I clicked on the link you provided and the price there was $329. I doubt this radio is suitable for M17 without a hardware modification. That was the case with the radios that were modified

Please talk about the CS800d fcc part 90
Can someone address the status of M17 on this rig, please? https://www.csi-radios.com/cs800d-fcc-part-90/ As a dual band with extended UHF receive, Part 90, detachable faceplate, extra memory,

Re: Hotspot Questions/Recommendations
No the DMR HT won't be of any help, as there's no transcoder (which you'd need in this instance) in the hotspot.? The CS7000-M17, OTOH will definitely do the job.

Hotspot Questions/Recommendations
Hi, I've been following M17 for a couple of years and I'd like to start using it a bit. I've played with DroidStar on my phone and I'm thinking of getting a hotspot and maybe the CS7000-M17. I

Re: Quansheng Stretch ?..
Working on this... See http://www.mobilinkd.com/2024/06/25/hacking-the-uv-k6-for-digital-modes/ It will require hacking the radio hardware, the firmware, and adding on an M17 baseband

Quansheng Stretch ?..
So with all the Modifications being done to the Quansheng UV-K5/6 Radio like removing a chip and slapping on a Wafer Board for LW-SW All Band AM/SSB/ETC, Has anyone thought of if M17 could be added
