?I?am seeing extremes of weather? With general overall warming that includes ice melt and wildfire spreads secondary to arid conditions. Of course, I feel like it is not? a clear cut? linear pattern, but I am curious whether I will be burned alive, drowned and then frozen or whether things will progress in a different combination.

Most importantly to me, I will be driving toward the Northeast before those 100+F days return!

Re: Friday Five March 1

1.? Should the US take the advice of the president of El Salvador?

Overcome the dark forces? Does not sound like new advice. Admittedly I did not research?this one in depth and so likely missed details, but I am moving the RV westward after four months on Texas Golf coast and so time is a bit?limited.?

2.? Should the UN disestablish the nation of Israel?

LOL. How would that work? Israel is not really responsive?to organizations with teeth! In any case, I feel it would be a poor precedent and I feel it?is not warranted. Israel has made its point in Gaza and hopefully Hamas (which is probably far from destroyed) might just try to think up new strategies moving forward. Pouring into Israel and murdering people is obviously not the most effective approach for pursuing their goals.

3.? Is the US or Argentina running a more balanced budget?

I am not sure, but I suppose that is an illusionary concept at best.

4.? Why was there no Nobel Peace Prize awarded in 1948?

No suitable living candidate. That is sad.

5.? Should the government be allowed to use cell phone location data from private sources as a way of tracking people?

Only?with a warrant. I imagine that would be useful for criminal investigations.

1.? Should the US take the advice of the president of El Salvador?
No knowledge about this.

The president of El Salvador said criminals should? be in prison

2.? Should the UN disestablish the nation of Israel?
Absolutely not.

Trick question.? There is one school of thought that disestablishing Israel would calm down the extremists in the MIddle East - but there is the legal question - given that no country has been disestablished in recent history - other than East Germany which was absorbed into West Germany

3.? Is the US or Argentina running a more balanced budget?
No knowledge.

Currently according to reports Argentina has the most balanced budget it has had in fifty years - one big reason was that their new president cut government employment by ab out half.

4.? Why was there no Nobel Peace Prize awarded in 1948?
Hmmm. No knowledge.

Because Nobel prizes are not given to dead people - Ghandi would have won it if he had not been killed.

5.? Should the government be allowed to use cell phone location data from private sources as a way of tracking people?

What private sources?

In this case it was data gatherers

"Concerned" means "worried" to me. I am not worried about it. I am sad that he was cornered and executed, but I am also a bit flabbergasted?that he undertook such a hazardous life mission and remained within the grasp of the dictator he opposed. No one stands out. Perhaps the idea that the charge toward the precipice of widespread social collapse is only a pipe dream. Or pipe nightmare. Change is inevitable, but we are gifted with symbol-using minds that allow us to predict potential futures before we have to actually have to live them.

I expect it and have brought it up on?occasion over the past year, even in this exercise if I remember right. If Putin loses in Ukraine, loses his hold on Russia, his own life is likely forfeit. I am sure he is grooming many contingency plans and I am sure battlefield nukes are involved in some of them. I have some concerns around this.
