Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
If that¡¯s the driver you¡¯ve been using, then you should probably just stick to using it. It¡¯s only a problem if you accidentally switch to using the other driver, that isn¡¯t configured yet.

Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
I have been using Gemini #2 for as long as I remember surprisingly and its been fine. Maybe worth trying #1 though...

Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
Hi Michael, I've not looked at the logs in detail yet, but it appears you're connecting to the secondary Gemini driver (#2) instead of the primary one in the log. That driver is meant to be used when

Hi Dave,
What are the network settings (IP address, default gateway, subnet mask, DHCP setting?) - please share settings for both, your Gemini and your PC.

Using mini router to talk with Gemini thru wifi
Hi folks
I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. A member of the local club has kindly been round and helped set up my new mount. We didn't realize until yesterday that my "netbook", an Asus did

Hello everyone,
Thank you for all of your replies! I will attach the guide logs now. Yeah, a replacing of the clutch pads might help.

Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
More ideas for a change in Dec guiding:
-the Dec clutch has come loose and does not respond fully to motor pulses
-the Dec clutch pad got oily and need to be cleaned
-the scope may have been bumped

Re: New G11 + ASIair guiding issues
There is a lot of discussion here and on other forums about measured DEC backlash on Losmandy mounts in PHD2.? It seems there is a high measured value on the springloaded worms, but in practice most

Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
Michael,
Are you sure it isn't just the atmosphere?
The way to tell is to keep logging on but turn guiding off.? Then de-trend the data to take out any drift. What is left in DEC is the atmosphere.

Re: G11 guiding perfect until last night
Hi Michael,
Maybe posting a PHD2 guide log would help. The screen shot is hard to read. Here are some common issues causing spikes in DEC:
* Backlash adjustment -- too much or not enough backlash

G11 guiding perfect until last night
Hello all,
My L6 G11 has been a dream for the past 11 months now. However, two nights ago, it was not so nice.
I had these dec spikes that appeared to be periodic but I am not sure, and overall the

Thanks for the reply, Chip.
Losmandy sent me a PDF on how to collect a "baseline," which is something I was unfamiliar with. Tonight I took a shot at getting that done and I do not quite know how to

Re: Allen key size for head bolts?
Probably best to simply measure it with ruler or calipers. If original bolts, SAE units rather than metric. Measure flat-to-flat across the Allen hexagonal.
