Re: G11 with digital drive issue - no slewing
[AMD Official Use Only - Internal Distribution Only]
I'll get one simple thing out of the way first - with a digital drive the fastest "slew" is 16x or ~4 degrees per minute, which is still really

G11 with digital drive issue - no slewing
Hi,
I recently purchased a well taken care of used G-11 mount with HD tripod. I attached the mount to the tripod, attached my modest scope, balanced the mount, powered up the system.
The mount will

Re: Losmandy Mount for RASA 11?
Arguably the G11 isn¡¯t quite large enough ¨C it¡¯s rated for 50lbs IIRC. If your rig weighs 60lbs or so then a G11T (75lbs) or a used Titan (100lbs IIRC) would be more the thing.

Re: Losmandy Mount for RASA 11?
G11 will handle the RASA with EASE..............Like it was made for it.

Re: RAEXK or RAEXT? What's the difference?
Hi Bryn
Sorry there is not an RA Extension for the G8. If you upgrade your RA to
the GM811, that option becomes available
the G8 is already so small and lightweight

Re: RAEXK or RAEXT? What's the difference?
Is there an equivalent of the RAEXK for the original GM8 without the tucked in motors?

Re: RAEXK or RAEXT? What's the difference?
As I read it... The "K" version adds a spacer under the clamp (Saddle Plate). 0.6"
Gives a little lift there for the Non-Tucked motor versions. (older versions)
I didn't need that with my GM811G, so I

You can polar align accurately with just the main scope, a DSLR and a piece of clear tape with a pinhole, no computer needed.? Assume that the RA axis is roughly aligned with the NCP and that the

Re: RAEXK or RAEXT? What's the difference?
Hi Mike
when you order from that page you will receive the correct RA Extension kit.
For a new G11 mount you'll need the RAEXT
The two kits are identical, except the "K" version has an extra spacer

Re: Parking and Flipping and Piers
Hi Rick,
I tried APT, but I had troubles running it, so I eventually drifted away. Even NINA has been a hard sell to me.
I need bone simple.
And Meridian Flips were always a PITA. However, I did

About the license, personally I'm just in it for the hobby, and I'll freely share, but I'm sure that there are others that want to retain their rights to the photo.

Re: Parking and Flipping and Piers
I¡¯ve tested the parking several times. I know if I don¡¯t have the CWD set up in the Gemini then APT commands a straight park command the scope parks right then and there.
