I bought a Polar Scope for my old mount, but wasn't impressed with it.
Since my whole reason for looking up was to do AP, I use my Laser Pointer, Guide Scope, and Main Telescope to do the looking for me.
At Brian's recommendation, I use to do my polar alignment. I'm still perfecting it's use with my Atik Infiniky camera, but almost have it working fabulously.
I'm doing 2 second exposures, and 20-30 gain settings. I'm sure a better camera would behave better. But jacking up the gain has sped things up for me.
I'm not apt to ever buy another Polar Scope. But I'm 70, so I'm not apt to do a lot of things anymore. ;^) LOL!
