FYI the "industrial strength" version of velcro is something called Dual Lock from 3M it's velcro, but both sides have more resilient and 'sticky' hooks, instead of velcro's one side of fuzzy

Re: Attaching HC
I wasn't sure. With my old POS AVX, the HC was the brain of the mount. I don't really have a reason to exclude it from my mount and the way I run it. But it is interesting (and relieving) that it

Re: power consumption of a G11/G2 mount in tracking mode
Hi gang, I have only Gemini-1, no -2 yet. But I believe their power consumption is similar. The Gemini-1 power on bootup is small, like 20 milliamps just to run the controller logic...not tracking or

Indeed! Not many people realize the Hand Controller is really just another computer client to the gemini. Your computer running gemini.net is similarly equipped, so you really don't need the hand

When relying on battery power, you are always ahead to have more battery, than just adequate, or too small. I don't do Lithium batteries myself, I still prefer lead acid. I simply use a *Deep Cycle

Arun, I don't know what to tell you except that using the regular PoleMaster system usually manages to beat the 30" PA error number, usually by about nearly half of that error if I do the second PA.

This is exactly what I did with the LW tripod on my GM8...piece of velcro on each leg near the top and a mating piece on the back of the HC. For the Gemini 2 HC I built a box to hold the controller
