I've been working on converting my GM8 to OnStep goto with directly mounted step motors driving through 3.7:1 planetaries. Thought it only appropriate to use $4 NEMA 16 ex-theatre?lighting step motors on HGM097047.?

While working on the GM-8 I set it on the floor next to a G11. For the first time?I realized how the GM8 and G11 share most of their main parts. Aside from the worm gears they are pretty?much the same mount.

And yes the Dec motor clears the RA drive. Pure serendipity.?
