Re: Safety limits

Hi Tony

To change the safety limits for your setup, you want to be at the scope. you slew?your telescope to one side of the pier with your camera pointing towards the earth, and get it to within 1-2" (25-50mm) of the tripod/pier and then choose Menu->Mount->Limits->Set Limit Here

slew to opposite side of pier, same position as your camera and repeat. The Gemini will know which side of the pier you're on and applies the limit accordingly

I need to change my safety limits as the telescope does not slew to a given point in Carte du Ciel given the "Invalid DEC coordinate" error which I understand is a gemini ascot error message. There is a Losmandy video on how to change the values but its not clear what I would change them to.
Suggestions?
