Hi Deric

how does this show up for you??

RA only moves in one direction, so any backlash that you may have, you wouldn't see it during observation because it only ever moves in one direction

Greg, I probably did not state my self very clear. I have a bit of play or backlash in my RA I wish would go away. The Losmandy heavy duty tripod is as solid as it comes. The Berlebach tripods are nice and there has been many discussions here and on CN on the merits of the Berlebach's. I am just visual myself.
and that's just fine for me. HAPPYVSKIES Deric

Deric I have the Berlebach Planet. Mine has the double knobs on the legs to keep them tight. I keep my GM811 RA assembly on it all the time. It's easy to carry out to my pad to setup. I'm only doing visual at this time but it works great.
