Yes. That's why I went back to the Allen-key bolts.

The knobs seem to shift a little in the enlongated pier slots. A
shim between the pier and head would pull the knobs to the top of the
slot and stop the slop as would accurately set round holes (Not a
slam, just an obervation)
Has anyone else noticed this?
