All is good until I connect to the radio then the fuse goes pop. Test results, -ve to ground which will be good. +ve reads no short to ground so that is good. It is like the radio is pulling a crazy

check for a short in the power cable and attached connector while not plugged into the radio itself

Have you tested the power cord and g12 connector for a short circuit- without plugging it it?

Thank you everyone with this guidance. There is nothing touching the pins on the back but I will certainly keep this in mind. I'm going to do some small checks shortly (one being a 12v lamp in series

George, The pins on the back of the radio are magnetic, is it possible a piece of metal has attached itself to them and caused a short? I keep tape over them on my TX-500. wrote:
